KIWANIS INTERNATIONAL/BOYS AND GIRLS CLUBS OF AMERICA PARTNERSHIP

Whereas, Kiwanis International is an organization of member-volunteers working to change the world one child and one community at a time,

Whereas, Boys and Girls Clubs of America is committed to enabling all young people, especially those who most need help, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens,

Whereas, Kiwanis International and Boys and Girls Clubs of America both seek to provide to young people:

• A safe place to learn and grow
• Ongoing relationships with caring, adult professionals
• Life-enhancing programs and character development experiences
• Hope and opportunity

Whereas, Kiwanis International and Boys and Girls Clubs of America, acknowledge that the need is so great that no single organization can provide remedy,

Whereas, a union between Kiwanis International and Boys and Girls Clubs of America would bring together two organizations with a strong emphasis on serving children,

Whereas, a union would will enable our organizations to work together to increase leadership and character-development opportunities for young people,

Whereas, a union between Kiwanis International and Boys and Girls Clubs of America would be one of the most natural and dynamic partnerships for children ever developed,

Therefore, be it resolved on this day, June 27, 2008, that Kiwanis International and Boys and Girls Club of America join together in partnership to foster, nurture and establish a legacy of serving children, cornerstones of both organizations.
